But what does that mean to you as a REALTOR? After all, most of your clients only conduct a transaction with you once every few years, right?
It means that today’s consumer is changing and their expectations are much more focused on the overall customer experience before, during and after any possible transaction. They are looking for, expecting and, in some ways, demanding a remarkable customer experience in order to place their loyalty with a brand. And make no mistake about it – as a REALTOR, you are a Brand.
Okay, so again, what does that mean to you? What can and should you do to adjust to this change and grow your business by embracing it?
Here are three tips:
- Shift your thinking about your Sphere of Influence as contacts to Customers. Even people that you include in your Sphere who have yet to complete a transaction with you, begin thinking of them as your Customers now.
- Begin providing an ongoing Customer Experience to all of your Customers vs. marketing to your Sphere.
- Start looking at every ‘marketing’ activity you had planned (social media posts, newsletters, pop-by’s, etc.) as Customer Experience and Service activities instead of marketing or prospecting activities.
