It’s always our goal to make every Strategy Session helpful and applicable to as many real estate agents as possible:
Experienced Agents who know there stuff but can always use some new ideas and reminders of proven practices.
Brand New Agents who are really seeking for guidance and steps on exactly how to get started.
And Agents who have been in the business a few years, have some transactions behind them but are still searching for those systems, processes and rituals that will take their business to the next level.
We write every Strategy Session (and for that matter, online course) with ALL of those categories in mind.
That said, this week is a little different. Let me explain.
As we frequently do in the Strategic Agent Facebook Group, we recently asked our members what their biggest frustration in the business is right now. And one of the top answers was…working with new agents.
Now, if you’re a new agent, you might be thinking “ouch! That kinda hurts! I can’t help it that I’m new! You were new once too ya know!”
But as we dug deeper into this and asked the Strategic Agents in the group what they meant, it became apparent that we could tackle this with constructive advice (not criticism) that would benefit everyone – experienced, brand new and in-between alike.
So that’s what we did. First, we polled our group of Strategic Agents for the exact tips and information that they would like newer real estate agents to know. We received great advice and it fell neatly into 3 important areas of the real estate business. Below is a brief synopsis on each and to discover the rest, click below to download the Old Tricks for New Dogs guide.
- Working with Clients – In the real estate business, there are ALWAYS two sides to every transaction. That means that how each agent works with their client impacts the other agent and their clients and the overall transaction as well.
- Working with Other Agents – Real Estate can be a competitive business but at its best, it’s also collaborative with agents working together to reach the goals of their clients.
- Work Practices – Fostering good work practices from the early days of a real estate career will not only benefit the new agent but also serve the real estate community well by maintaining high professional standards and practices. That benefits every real estate agent.
