I am connected on social media with several great teachers and one of them had posted an image and a link that explained the “learning loss” of children during the summer due to lack of regular engagement in learning activities such as reading, math, etc. There are lots of statistics around how this lack of activity leads kids to regress in their abilities and then have to spend valuable time in the fall catching back up to where they were.
Because almost everything DOES make me think about real estate – that’s where my mind went with this.
Is there such a thing as a Summer Slide in real estate? And after considering this and talking to several agents, I decided that there definitely is! See if you agree with me…
When we come out of the mad dash of a hot Spring market…our kids are out of school…we have Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July, family vacations, our kid’s activities, family reunions…on and on.
It can be really easy to ssssllllliiiiiiiddddeee out of the habits of prospecting and working not just IN our business but ON it. Meaning we’re still doing the basics of returning phone calls, texts, emails, and serving our existing clients. But it can be easy to be so busy with everything else that summer brings that we stop doing the business-building activities needed to keep our business strong going into Fall.
So, because I know that Summer Slide is a thing that happens to real estate agents. I created the Seize the Summer Action Plan to take us through the next 8 weeks until Labor Day.
This Action Plan is specifically designed to help you Seize the Summer by becoming more Strategic in every part of your business this Summer. Each week we’ll tackle an aspect of your business that very likely needs some fine tuning or even new development so that you wrap up the Summer better than you started instead of scrambling to start all over in the Fall.
